Match Month: Donate in February
Heartland Community Foundation Launches 9th Annual Match Month
Make a Big Impact: Go the Whole Nine Yards for Our Communities
The Heartland Community Foundation is excited to announce the launch of its 9th Annual Match Month campaign! During February, Ellis, Rooks, and Trego counties come together to invest in their communities and build a lasting source of local funding. This year, HCF is rallying our region to go the Whole Nine Yards, aiming to raise $99,000 per county in celebration of our 9th annual campaign!
Thanks to a generous 200% match from the Dane G. Hansen Foundation, donations made to the Ellis County Legacy Fund, Rooks County Legacy Fund, and Trego County Legacy Fund between February 1-28 will be tripled, up to $50,000 raised per county. Your $100 donation becomes $300, a $1,000 gift turns into $3,000, and a $5,000 contribution grows to $15,000 — amplifying the impact for local grantmaking and community improvement.

What is Match Month?
Match Month is more than just a fundraising campaign. It’s an opportunity to strengthen our region by creating a sustainable source of funding that supports local nonprofits, schools, and community projects. Donations made to the Heartland County Legacy Funds are endowed, meaning they grow over time and only a percentage is distributed as grants. This ensures that your contribution today will continue benefiting our communities for years to come. The funds support vital initiatives in education, healthcare, community development, and more, fostering positive change and building a vibrant future for Ellis, Rooks, and Trego counties.
How Your Donation Makes a Difference
The Heartland County Legacy Funds are the foundation of local grantmaking, ensuring every dollar stays within our region to support vital projects. Since its inception, HCF has awarded $4.2 million in grants to help fund initiatives that strengthen our communities. Match Month donations will be used to support a wide range of needs, from funding local youth programs to providing resources for health initiatives and community development projects. By tripling donations through the Dane G. Hansen Foundation’s match, donors are helping to create a permanent source of local funding for future generations.
