We’ve been made aware of a scam in which someone received a fraudulent check and scholarship offer using the name of one of our employees and our organization. Thankfully, a parent reached out to verify its legitimacy before taking action.
Please know:
- We do not award scholarships through social media messages.
- Scholarships are only awarded to individuals who have applied and met eligibility requirements; we do not issue random, surprise, or unsolicited scholarships.
- Legitimate awards are communicated through an official award letter and our scholarship dashboard, where applicants must complete a scholarship agreement form.
- Scholarship checks are sent directly to the educational institution, not to individuals.
- We will never request payment of any kind — including cryptocurrency or Bitcoin.
If you receive a message, check, or scholarship offer that does not follow these steps, it is not legitimate. If you ever have questions or want to verify a communication claiming to be from us, please contact our office directly at 785-621-4090.
