HAYS, Kan.— The Heartland Community Foundation is delighted to announce the appointment of Savannah Downing as the new Trego County Development Director. Savannah brings a wealth of experience and a deep passion for community engagement to the foundation.
Residing in rural Trego County with her husband, Marc, and their five children, Savannah has spent the past twelve years as an English teacher. "Her background in education and community projects, combined with her passion for rural development, makes her a perfect fit for this role. We look forward to the positive impact she will undoubtedly have on Trego County and our broader community."
In her new role, Savannah will focus on cultivating donor relationships, supporting grantees, leading community discussions, and working collaboratively with stakeholders to identify and address local needs. She will also be instrumental in growing funds and engaging donors in planned giving discussions, furthering the foundation's mission to support and enhance the quality of life in Heartland communities.
