Heartland Community Foundation Serves Up Change During Community Foundation Week, Nov. 12–18
Heartland Community Foundation is celebrating Community Foundation Week, November 12–18, a time to recognize the many ways community foundations help neighbors, nonprofits, and local projects thrive.
Sometimes it can be hard to know all that a community foundation does. To make it simple — and a
little fun — Heartland is presenting our Giving Menu. We’ve saved you a seat at the table, where
generosity is always served warm and all are welcome. Whether it’s choosing the organization, the
type or size of gift, or the cause you care about most, we’re here to help you order up change that
nourishes our community.
“Giving isn’t one-size-fits-all,” said Sarah Meitner Heartland’s Executive Director. “Think of our
Giving Menu as a way to explore all the ways your generosity can make a difference — pick a small
taste or the full entrée, and know that every choice matters.”
Follow Heartland on social media all week to explore the menu and discover fun, creative ways to
give back to the community.
In celebration of Community Foundation Week, Heartland will also honor local volunteers with our
“Caught Doing Good” awards. In 2024, we recognized 40 individuals who go above and beyond for
their community — half in November and half in April. We loved meeting them, and the community
loved celebrating them too! Know someone who deserves recognition? Email heartland@gscf.org
to let us know about someone making a difference in Ellis, Rooks, or Trego counties. Follow us on
Facebook @HeartlandCF to see the 2025 honorees beginning Nov. 17.
At Heartland Community Foundation, we help neighbors give, grow, and lead — so every dish
served and every act of generosity helps our community flourish.
