Heartland Community Foundation awards over $165,000 in grants

The Heartland Community Foundation, which serves Ellis, Rooks and Trego Counties, recently awarded over $165,000 in spring grants to area organizations across the three counties. The following organizations received funding through the foundation’s Dane G. Hansen Community Grant Funds for Ellis, Rooks and Trego Counties, the Kansas Health Foundation Fund, the Stockton Community Fund and the Trego Legacy Fund. Ellis County John's Lutheran Church of Ellis, $8,687 for a high-efficiency heating and air conditioning unit. Community foundation accepting spring grant applications

HAYS, Kan.—The Heartland Community Foundation, which serves Ellis, Rooks and Trego Counties, is accepting applications for fall grants. Online applications open March 15 and are due Wednesday, May 15, 2019. Over $150,000 is available to charitable projects in Ellis, Rooks and Trego Counties through the Dane G. Hansen Community Grant Fund, with $50,000 available per county. Focused on improving quality of life, grants will support education, health care, community social services and security, conservation and environment, arts and culture, and community beautification.
